POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Manager in our company, you will be responsible for leading and managing software development projects from initiation to closure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects within defined scope, timelines, and budgets. Your strong project management skills, leadership abilities, and technical knowledge will be instrumental in driving project success and achieving customer satisfaction.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings, communicating project goals and expectations to the project team.
- Lead and manage the execution of project activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, designers, and business analysts.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and proactively manage project risks and issues.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, business owners, and project sponsors.
- Collaborate effectively to manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Allocate project resources, including team members, equipment, and budget, to ensure optimal project performance.
- Coordinate with resource managers and department heads to secure necessary resources.
- Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively monitor and control risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Regularly communicate risk assessments and mitigation plans to stakeholders and the project team.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards and client requirements.
- Implement quality control measures and conduct regular project reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to define and execute testing strategies and ensure quality outputs.
- Manage project scope, ensuring that all changes are properly documented, evaluated, and approved.
- Assess the impact of scope changes on project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Facilitate change management processes, communicating changes to the project team and stakeholders.
- Establish effective communication channels within the project team and with stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Prepare and distribute project status reports, executive summaries, and other relevant project documentation.
- Conduct project closure activities, including lessons learned documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Evaluate project outcomes against established success criteria and conduct post-project reviews.
- Share project insights and recommendations to improve future project delivery
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Proven 2-4 years of experience as a Project Manager in the IT industry, successfully delivering software development projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred.
